It’s been a hectic week — the type that you were reminded it’s Mother’s Day from all of the flower advertisements on the radio. Almost every day after work, for the past month, Jorge and I viewed apartments in Wayne, King of Prussia (our current town), Conshohocken, Phoenixville, Collegeville and a few other towns. It was a mission and a half to find something that was in our budget with a bearable commute to work. But nonetheless, we found something. It’s a 3 family Victorian house in a cute little town called Phoenixville. God-willing, this will be our last time moving into an apartment, and the next time we move, it will be in our first home!
Since I had an engagement ceremony on Sunday, my mother, who is nothing less but understanding, celebrated mother’s day on Saturday. As a family, we enjoyed a wonderful and delicious lunch at the Palm in NYC, then made our way home where we relaxed and made up for lost time.
I am so grateful for my family. And a huge part of that comes from my mother. She’s our foundation and without her, we would crumble.
I would like to thank my Mom for everything that she’s done for us. Thank you for putting our needs before your own. For showering us with unconditional love. And for working hard to provide us with a life that you didn’t have growing up. Thank you for putting your all into our family. I’m not just thankful on this day, but I’m thankful every day.
Happy Mother’s Day!
