It was the day after New Years, everyone was still buzzing from celebrating the New Year. With new goals and hearts filled with hope, you couldn’t help but feel excitement for 2016. For Carolyn and Jose, it was so much more than that… they were getting married!
I’ve known Carolyn for a good portion of my childhood. We grew up in the same neighborhood attending the same middle and high school. Back in the day, people called us twins because of our identical Hispanic features: long brown hair, dark brown eyes, and smiling cheek bones. My time around Carolyn has always been fun and loud (well I was the loud one, she was at the sidelines, ha!). But as life happens, you part ways but treasure the time spent together.
When Carolyn contacted me to be her wedding photographer my heart smiled for her. I couldn’t wait to meet the man that stole this sweet girl’s heart. And when I met Jose during their engagement session, I felt nothing but pure happiness for the two! I knew their wedding was going to be nothing less than beautiful.
There has certainly been colder days in January, but to say we were blessed with good weather is an understatement. With the sun shining bright and no breeze, it was a beautiful day for a wedding. Carolyn and Jose joined together at their family church to promise each other forever. From there the celebration continued at the stunning Tides Estate in North Haledon where their friends and family surrounded the newly weds with unconditional love.
Carolyn and Jose, thank you! Thank you for choosing us to share your day with. To express how honored I am to have been there would be difficult. The best way I hope to show my appreciation is through my photos. I wish you two nothing but a lifetime of love, health and happiness. My God continue to bless you both abundantly!
