Lake George is amazing! Let me say that if you haven’t gone yet, you should really take a trip to New York to see Lake George. The green mountains, blue skies and clear water was a prime example of nature’s beauty. This past weekend I went to Lake George for a camping trip; the drive there from Pennsylvania was a bit long, but well worth it.
During the camping trip, I realized it’s the little things we take for granted. We sometimes get so caught up with our busy lives that we forget to pause for a moment and admire what’s around us. I took several moments at a time to see what the world had offered us, the fresh air, the sound of the waves and the beautiful birds singing their songs. Cheesy, yes, I know. But I appreciated it; I’m so used the car alarms, neighbors yelling and the 13 year old girl who lives up stairs blasting her music… None of that was here, just pure bliss.
By the end of the trip, I realized time had flew. Was it really time to go, couldn’t I stay just a tad bit longer? I was enjoying my roasted marshmellows, the stories shared around the fire pit, but most of all, the starry night sky; I’ve never seen so many stars in my life. Granted, peeing in the bushes was not something I enjoyed doing, but it definitely gave the outdoor, wilderness feel.
Next year’s camping trip will be just as fun. Untile next time Lake George, stay beautiful!
