The original plan for Labor day weekend was camping at Lake George, but that has been pushed back to this upcoming weekend due to a little incident that Jorge had. Well, little would be an understatement… He managed to sprain his ankle which caused swelling that was the size of half a tennis ball. Yes, the word little wouldn’t be close. It’s a personal to say how he got it, however I can say, please pay attention to your surroundings sweet heart :)
With that said, my weekend plans were cancelled. Instead my friend, Jane, came over with baby Davian and stood until Sunday. It was great having Jane and Davian over; she helped the homesickness subside for a bit. We didn’t get to do much but we did something which was long over due, we relaxed, talked and laughed until our stomachs hurt. I snapped a few photos of my now, one month old, nephew and smoother him with love. Davian was so much more alert and bigger from the last time I saw him; having him around definitely put me in a baby mood, not something Jorge would want to hear, haha.
The weekend got even better when a few more friends stopped by to stay. We had a full house! And I wouldn’t have had it any other way. There is nothing more that I treasure than creating memories with the people you love. Thanks to everyone who came, you made this Labor day weekend memorable.
